NivoDesk Pro / Quote preparation
Planned product · workflow and scopePrepare a clear quote brief before making a commitment.
A proposed module that turns an enquiry into a structured scope for human review, organising requested work, constraints, assumptions and questions before a business issues its actual quote.
Quote generation and sending are not available on this site.
How it works
From enquiry to an accepted, handed-over scope
The module would support preparation; it would not invent prices or agree terms.
- Step 1
Structure the brief
Requested work, location, access, quantity, timing.
- Step 2
Expose uncertainty
Missing photos or measurements stay visible questions.
- Step 3
Version the scope
Exclusions, validity and acceptance kept distinct.
- Step 4
Hand to a person
A job brief with responsibility and prerequisites.
01 · Uncertainty
Make the important uncertainties visible
A useful brief separates confirmed facts from assumptions: the requested service, location, access, approximate quantity, required timing and information still needed. Missing photographs or measurements should remain a visible question rather than become a confident estimate.
The responsible person decides whether a remote assessment is enough or a visit is needed. An assistant's summary must be checked against the enquiry before it influences a quotation.
| Item | Value | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Service | Example repair | Fact |
| Location | Example district | Fact |
| Access | Ground floor? | Assumption |
| Quantity | Approx. 3 units | Assumption |
| Photos | Missing | Question |
02 · Versions
Keep versions and acceptance clear
The proposed workflow would keep the scope version, exclusions, quote validity and customer acceptance distinct. A change in work should not silently replace the accepted scope. Staff need a clear route to ask questions and obtain a fresh agreement.
Payment collection, e-signatures, deposits and accounting connections are separate implementation questions.
03 · Handoff
Hand accepted work to a named person
Once the business has confirmed acceptance through its own process, the next step is a job brief with responsibility, timing and prerequisites. The assistant would be expected to draft that handoff, while a person confirms its accuracy and readiness.
- Responsibility: a named person
- Timing: agreed window
- Prerequisites: what must be ready first
- Human check: accuracy and readiness confirmed
